Last summer I had the privilege to work with Laura and Neal for their wedding at the beautiful St Mary’s Church in Bersham, Wrexham. Their wedding reception took place at the stunning Sweeney Hall near Oswestry set in the Shropshire countryside. The temperature was over 30 degrees, and what a scorcher we were in for. I met Laura and her bridesmaids at Sweeney Hall for the wedding preparation photos and they were all relaxed and chatting in the sun, perfect time for some Champagne. I then took some time to take photos of Laura’s wedding dress and shoes before it was time for her to put them on, always a special part of the day and she looked beautiful.
I made sure I had enough time to spend with Neal and his best men at the church so I left Laura early as I had a good half an hour drive back to St Mary’s. What a stunning church St Mary’s is, hidden down some country lanes outside a small village of Bersham, you could easily miss it driving past. I got some great photos of Neal and his grooms men but I knew Laura was on her way and it was time to get them into the church. Laura and her dad arrived in a huge luxurious Range Rover and after a few more photos, Laura was ready so I made my way into St Mary’s and got comfortable. Neal was incredibly nervous but there wasn’t long to wait. The ceremony was lovely, Laura and Neal read their vows perfectly.
After some traditional group photos at the church, we all headed off to Sweeney Hall for the drinks reception and the final portraits. While the bride and groom were awaiting their guests, I headed indoors to take some photos of the reception room and it looked fantastic, a lovely choice of summer yellows to compliment the hot summers day. Not long after, it was then time for the wedding portraits, we headed into the lovely gardens surrounding Sweeney Hall and we were spoilt for choice. There was so much variety for wedding photography and Laura and Neal were superstars, fantastic to work with and we had a great time.
What a great wedding, I had a great afternoon working with yet another amazing couple. Have a great life together and thanks for letting me be part of your wedding.
