Rowton Hall wedding photographer

Laura & Jon’s wedding was held at the stunning church of St Stevens in Moulton near Northwich. Their wedding reception was held at the beautiful Rowton Hall Hotel in Chester set in the beautiful Cheshire countryside. My day started at Laura’s parents house for the bridal preparation photos. The weather was a bit mixed to start the day and we all knew rain was going to appear. That didn’t bother Laura, she was incredibly excited and ready for her wedding with Jon.

I then headed over to St Stevens’ Church to meet Jon and his groomsmen for some photos before Laura’s arrival. Jon was a little nervous but it was clear and he couldn’t wait to see Laura walking down the aisle. After some groomsmen portraits I had a quick chat with the minister who was performing the ceremony to make sure he was happy with me being at the front, then it was time for Laura’s arrival. She looked stunning and her dad looked very proud, the rain started to come down lightly but it didn’t dampen Laura’s spirits.

Rainy day wedding

After a beautiful and emotional ceremony, I was able to get a few photos between the sun coming out and the rain showers before sending them on the way to meet them at the beautiful Rowton Hall Hotel for the wedding reception and more wedding photos. Lucky for us the sun dried up a lot of the rain so we could explore the beautiful gardens at Rowton Hall. Laura and Jon were fantastic to work with, such a fun laid back couple and we got some amazing photos.

As the weather turned for the worse, we were able to use the grand interiors at Rowton Hall for the majority of the group photos, I prefer not to bring wedding guests outside when the weather can turn at any moment so I never shy away from indoor photography. Shortly after the group photos had finished, it was time the wedding breakfast and speeches. I then followed up with some relaxed photos of their wedding guests before setting up for the evening reception.
