Lucy and Simon’s North Wales wedding was held at the Holiday Inn just outside Chester and not too far from Mold. The weather forecast was mixed sunshine and sunny spells but I knew that normally leads to a concerned bride, not Lucy luckily….and not a concern for me too. The day started at the Holiday Inn for the bridal preparations and I was faced with, what felt like a record attempt of the most amount of people getting ready in one room. But to my surprise, there was not a shred of stress, just fun and laughter.
I later met with Simon and his entourage for a meet and greet and a few photos in the rain, I took a tour around the hotel and had a chat with the registrars. This wedding was unlike many civil ceremonies as the bride and groom were having their wedding blessed by a minister who is a family member. This was nice to see as it was so personal and fun of emotion which really adds to a great civil ceremony.
I had a great day working with Lucy and Simon, their wedding was so intimate and filled with love and I never saw anything but a smile from their family and guests. There was always something going on…..from funny face masks to press up competitions (won by the girls…..better luck next time lads) and arm wrestling, it was a busy day for me but I loved every minute of it.
Good luck to you both and I hope you continue to have an amazing life together.
