The wedding of Emma & Dafydd was held at the stunning Bryn Howel Hotel in Llangollen. Set in the beautiful North Wales countryside, the Bryn Howel has a fantastic variety of well kept gardens and it’s also right next to a picturesque canal. I met up with Emma and her bridesmaid for photos during the preparations and they were as calm as they come, you would never of guessed Emma was getting married in a few hours time, the beautiful dress was a bit of a giveaway however. It was the same for Dafydd too, in fact they were the most calm and laid back couple I worked with last year, both lovely people too and it was obvious how much they loved one another.
Typically for October, the day started cold with some mixed rain and sunshine, we all expected to be stuck indoors all day. Fortunately the rain cleared up and we were able to make good use of the Bryn Howel’s beautiful gardens, we even made a short trip down to the canal for some more photos, although we could done with some wellies as the mud was very wet, not a favourite by many brides. A brief walk along the canal gave us some great photos and also gave the happy couple a bit of a break from their wedding guests too. I always find that this helps them relax and this always shows in the final photos.
Some of my favourite autumn photos were taken on the main driveway, either side of the approach was full perfect browns and yellows giving me a gorgeous setting for some fantastic wedding photography, the light was near perfect too.
I had such a great day working with Emma & Dafydd it was a pleasure being your wedding photographer and I wish you both the best for the future.
