Back in November I found myself at the stunning Mottram Hall Hotel for Cara and Richard’s winter wedding and what a day it was going to be. The sky was blue and sun was shining, and everything had a beautiful crisp winter look it it…….but it was really really cold though. I met up with Cara and her girls for the bridal prep and was pleasantly surprised to see the lovely Vicky and Anna from Bridal Hair and Makeup of Cheshire taking care of all things hair and make up so I knew Cara was in very good hands. Cara looked so unbelievably calm and relaxed, she was just enjoying the pampering with a few glasses of fizz with her mum and close friends, you would never of guessed it was her wedding that day.
Not long before the ceremony I wandered down to meet up with Richard and his best man for a chat and a few photos, and I also took the opportunity to check out the ceremony room to find the best positions for photos before heading back to see Cara for the finishing touches. Cara looked stunningly beautiful, I knew Richard was going to be totally knocked clean off his feet to see his wife to be walking down the isle. After taking a few more photos, it was time to make our way down for the ceremony, I was able to take some stunning wide photos of Cara and her dad walking down the grand main staircase….always a favourite of mine).
The ceremony was lovely and very personal to Cara and Richard, but there was no time to lose. With fading light and the cold getting colder, I knew I had to get the bulk of the wedding photos done quickly before taking the happy couple for a tour of Mottram Hall’s amazing gardens for the bridal portraits before it got too dark. And before we knew it, it was time for the wedding breakfast. The reception room was dressed and set by Alison from the amazing Lasting Memories, Alison had also decorated a few of her famous Christmas Trees around Mottram Hall too, everything looked perfect.
The rest of the day was fantastic, Cara and Richard were great to work with and they and their families made me feel totally welcome, the day just vanished but it was incredible. I had an amazing time and I really do wish you both the best and thanks for letting me be part of your magical day.
