The wedding of Jane and Liam was held at the fantastic White Waters Hotel just outside Llangollen on the banks of the River Dee. We were in for some classic summer weather, sun, blue skies, cloud then rain. Perfect. My day started with Jane at her parents house in Wrexham for photos of the bridal preparations and also some photos of the details. I normally spend a bit of time talking to the bride, bridesmaids and family here and get them comfortable with a photographer in the room, comes in handy later in the day.

After finishing off photos of the wedding preparations, I made my way to meet up with Liam at White Waters Hotel. I normally give myself plenty of time to travel and get some photos before the bride arrives, saves me rushing around too much and risk missing the all important bride’s arrival photos. Once the photos of the grooms men where finished, I asked them to make their way in to the ceremony room as I knew Jane wouldn’t be too far away now and I wanted to catch her arrival. Not long after, I saw the wedding cars in the distance and positioned myself to get a few long shots down the road before making my way back to the main entrance. After some photos in and with the cars, it was time for the ceremony. I made my way to the front of the ceremony room, my favourite place to be and waited for Jane and her dad. The ceremony was lovely and before we knew it we were heading outside for the drinks reception….providing the rain stayed off, which it didn’t. As always, there were a few breaks where we headed outside for some group photos and some portraits in the garden area. We had a great time and they were fantastic to work with.

The rest of the afternoon was a blur but I had a great day. Congratulations to you both, I hope you have a great life together.
