Louise and Kenny’s wedding brought me to Liverpool for a ceremony at St Michael’s church in Garston, Liverpool followed by the reception at the stunning Mal Maison Hotel in Liverpool Docks. The bridal preparations took place at Louise’s parents house and what a great morning it was. The usual rushing around and stress was replaced with fun, laughter and a spot of bubbly. Even the children were having a great time. All this made some great photos and a great start to a wedding.
After the preparations were finished I made my way to St Michaels Church to capture the brides arrival and to get comfortable and speak with the minister, always an important thing I do at every wedding. The ceremony was lovely, the minister knew Louise and Kenny well and it brought some nice personal touches to the ceremony and also sparked the best natural reactions and emotions, perfect for photos. After the formalities were complete we made our way to Liverpool Docks for the reception at the stunning Mal Maison Hotel. Although modern, I couldnt help being impressed with how amazing the hotel is, the central fireplace looked fantastic in the main lobby and the industrial design looked great, a contrast against many recent weddings Ive worked at.
Once the bride and groom had some time with their guests I took them for a walk around the nearby docks and to a fantastic footbridge for some portraits. They were amazing to work with and their love for each other really came out in the photos and they were so happy I caught these moments.
What an amazing day, I loved every moment of this wedding and it really opened my eyes to how fantastic Liverpool really is. It was a absolute pleasure being Louise and Kenny’s photographer, I hope you have a fantastic future together.
