The wedding of Alice and Matt was held at the beautiful Leasowe Castle near the Northern coastline of the Wirral peninsula. Not that we saw much of it, the snow was out in force and I had to battle with closed roads and severely snowed in cars, luckily I was able to borrow a Land Rover…nothing stops me getting to a wedding.
I arrived early to make sure I didnt miss anything and Alice and her bridesmaids were getting ready in the large bridal suite, lots of room for me to move around and also room for them to practice their steps. After some photos with champagne and chocolates, I headed over to see Matt for some groom preparations photos and to try get some photos outside with the rest of the groomsmen. After a couple of photos we were faced with a blizzard. We knew that it wasnt going to change from then on, not that it mattered, everyone was in high spirits.
The ceremony was beautiful and after some time with their friends and family, I whisked the Alice and Matt away for some photos. The snow was getting worse and after a disastrous attempt to get some outside in the doorway we decided to stay indoors. Alice and Matt didnt let the weather bother them at all. Luckily, Leasowe Castle has a beautiful staircase perfect for some wedding photos, and some large well lit rooms for the bigger group photos…..once they were cleaned up after the confetti. The staff at Leasowe were fantastic and very helpful clearing the main suite for us to use for photos. For the wedding breakfast, I was lucky to have a seat at one of the tables and met some lovely guests that made my feel like I was one…..love weddings like these.
The rest of the day was a blur, some fantastic speeches then straight onto the first dance and evening reception. What an amazing day it was. Alice and Matt are an awesome couple and I really do wish you the best of luck for your future together. Thanks for allowing me to document your special day.
