Shoba and Danny’s beautiful wedding at Colshaw Hall was a fun yet relaxed day. The stunning venue is known for its grand setting, surround by the Cheshire countryside. The grounds are perfect to capture great wedding photos which is why I love being a Colshall Hall wedding photographer.
The morning started with wedding preparations. Shoba’s room was busy but organised, with final details coming together and a real sense of anticipation rather than nerves. My wife Vicky and her team from Bridal Hair and Makeup of Cheshire worked on the bridal party’s hair and makeup. Danny and his groomsmen were over in the Den, taking their time getting ready with even a game of table tennis or two. It felt very relaxed and full of cheeky banter between the guys.
Shortly after came the ceremony, which was simple and personal. Colshaw Hall’s ceremony room provided a beautiful, elegant setting, letting the focus stay on Shoba and Danny and their reactions as they saw each other. There was no rush, just a steady pace that worked perfectly for natural and storytelling photography.
After the ceremony, guests ventured out into the grounds for drinks and conversations. This is where Colshaw Hall really shines, offering space to step away, chat, and enjoy the lovely gardens. Group photos were kept quick and efficient, leaving plenty of time for relaxed candids followed by a short portrait session that didn’t take Shoba and Danny away from their guests for long.
Finaly as the evening moved on, good food, hilarious speeches, and lots of dancing. From quiet exchanges to full dance floor energy, the day offered a balanced mix of moments, which makes my job as a wedding photographer so much easier.
Shoba and Danny’s wedding was a perfect example of how an amazing venue and a laid-back approach can create a day that feels so perfect.
