The wedding of Laura and Dan was held at the gorgeous St Deiniols Church in Hawarden, North Wales and the reception was held at the fantastic Grosvenor in Pulford. As the wedding was the end of January, I had the pleasure of working in the snow, and I was really looking forward to it. The sun was shining the skies were clear and it wasn’t too cold either, I knew it was going to be a fantastic day.
The day started at Laura’s house and I had a fun time even getting there. The snow was mostly clear on the main roads but as they lived on a large estate, I wasn’t prepared for the thick snow there. After a couple of exciting moments….not incidents thankfully, I arrived safely and ensured I was able to get my car out again. I was amazed how peaceful the house was, Laura was as cool as they come and I was able to get some great photos of the wedding preparations and also spend some time with Laura and her bridesmaids. After Laura was ready, I was able to catch up with Dan and the guys at the pub near the church before the ceremony to make sure I had some great photos here too.
The wedding at St Deiniols was lovely, and on the ministers permission, I had freedom to move around the church discretely to get some great variety of shots during the ceremony. It was then straight onto the Grosvenor in Pulford but we did stop off at the Grosvenor Estate for some cheeky photos near the gates. At the Grosvenor in Pulford I was spoilt for choice for wedding photography, the snow brought so much light to every shot, and as it wasn’t too cold, Laura and Dan were happy to take advantage of this and it was worth it too.
I had an awesome day and what an epic start to 2013, Laura and Dan were a pleasure to work with and I wish them all the best in the future.
