Sarah and Leigh’s wedding was held at the Wrexham Registry office in the town centre with the reception at the fantastic Holt Lodge just outside Wrexham, set in the beautiful North Wales countryside. The day began with the bridal preparations at their home in Wrexham, lucky for me this was literally walking distance for me so a great way to start the day. The sun was shining too, for early October it felt more like a late spring wedding which was also great. Sarah and Leigh are such a lovely laid back couple, they even got ready together, a first experience for me and a refreshing break from the usual wedding tradition.

Sarah had the luxury of travelling to the ceremony in a relic from the 60’s, a beautifully restored VW Campervan provided by Keith from Just VW. The ceremony was accompanied by some beautiful singing from their daughter and her friend, a lovely personal way to start the proceedings. Shortly after the ceremony and a fantastic confetti shot, it was off to the reception at the Holt Lodge for some photo’s in the fantastic surrounding gardens, making best use of the setting sun and the warm autumn colours that were starting to emerge. We had a great time and I got some amazing photos.

The evening reception was held at The Wrexham Lager Club back in Wrexham town centre for, wait for it….. a fancy dress party! It was awesome, so much fun and to my surprise I didnt see a single person not taking part, other than Sarah and Leigh that is, but they were allowed obviously.

I had such a great day with Sarah and Leigh, you have such a lovely family and a great set of friends, it was a privilege being your wedding photographer and I really do wish you the best for the future.
